LEGO / brick building as an adult hobby is building and displaying sets — 18+ kits, Botanicals, architecture — not cleaning up a kid’s floor. You follow the booklet, you put the model on a shelf, you are done in an evening or a weekend.
Why people stay
The instructions are the sport. A finished set is a physical object you can leave out. People stay for the next evening-size box, not for a warehouse of unopened sets.
